Our bags begin their lives not in a factory or a shop, but at sea. Fashioned from the sails of a traditional Kenyan dhow, each bag has traveled the oceans near and far, its fabric weathered and molded by the hand of the sea before being shaped by the hands of the passionate artisans of Lamu, Kenya. Here, local families work together to sew, mend, patch and tailor unique bags that differ slightly in size, shape, color and style, but which are tied together by a common thread: love.
